User Library

The ICOBOL User Library (ICAPI) product provides an optional API feature priced according to the level of runtime utilization in your environment and the specific API(s) being used. The User Library contains two APIs that allow C programs to directly access ICOBOL INDEXED files, while maintaining file-sharing capability among COBOL and other C programs using the library. Specifically, the User Library provides:

• A generic INDEXED API, enabling C programs to directly access INDEXED files
• An Intelligent Query API, enabling the Intelligent Query product from IQ Software Corporation to access ICOBOL INDEXED files
